Randstad is looking for a talented and dedicated Mechanical Engineer to join our clients team. In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining critical building systems and ensuring environmental conditions are kept to the highest standard.

As a key member of our team, you will:
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PPM) and swiftly respond to reactive and breakdown works on all mechanical systems, including HVAC, hot and cold water systems, and generators.
Use your expert fault-finding skills, including analysing graphical information and alarm data.
Ensure that all plant rooms are kept clean, tidy, and secure.
Supervise and monitor the work of subcontractors on-site.
Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and on time, including Method Statements and Risk Assessments, to ensure safe work practices.
Maintain an accurate record of all tasks on our Computer Based Maintenance System (e.g., Maximo).
Operate a Permit to Work System in line with company and client safety procedures.
Collaborate effectively with all staff, subcontractors, and client representatives, representing Smart Managed Solutions professionally at all times.
Education: Formal training in a mechanical engineering discipline (e.g., HVAC, Plumbing) to City & Guilds Level 3 or NVQ Level 2.
Experience: Proven experience in a similar role with strong knowledge of HVAC, hot and cold-water systems, and generators.
Skills: Excellent fault-finding abilities and a proactive approach to maintenance. Basic electrical knowledge is a plus.
