Are you a skilled Mechanical Engineer specializing in complex facilities maintenance?
We are seeking an experienced FM Mechanical Engineer to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis (37.5 hours per week) at the. This is a critical role responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation.
What You Will Deliver:
You will be highly involved with the maintenance and minor works service, covering a wide and varied range of mechanical equipment.
Expert Fault Finding: Undertaking fault finding on complex systems, including:
Medical Gas Systems
MTHW / LTHW pressure heating water systems
Pressurised Steam Systems
Critical systems and equipment
Maintenance & Compliance: Carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), inspections, commissioning, and testing in accordance with published procedures.
Technical Diagnosis: Using cause-effect analysis and detailed examination to gain a solution, including the use of all relevant drawings and schematics.
Specialist Equipment: Servicing large industrial units, such as dual fired boilers and extensive heating and ventilation distribution equipment.
Tool Use & Safety: Using analytical test devices, specialist tools, workshop fixed equipment, welding equipment, emergency generators, and medical gas equipment, ensuring full compliance with all safety guidelines (e.g., Risk Assessment, Site Safety, Control of Infection, and Hazardous Substances).
What We Are Looking For:
To be successful in this role, you must have:
Mechanical Qualification: An appropriately recognised Mechanical/Engineering apprenticeship is required.
Certification: C&G, Scotvec (SVQ3), or equivalent certification.
Security Clearance: The ability to pass a DBS Basic check is essential.
