The Opportunity
The City of Edinburgh Council is seeking a dedicated and highly mobile Mental Health Officer to join their statutory service for an immediate 12-week project.

Key Responsibilities
Delivering statutory duties under the Mental Health (Care and Treatment) (Scotland) Act 2003.
Working across different city locations to meet service demand.
Completing high-quality social enquiry reports and supporting guardianship applications.
Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient rights and safety.
The Requirements
Due to the urgent nature of this requirement, the Council has specific criteria for applicants:
MHO Award: You must have successfully completed the Mental Health Officer training.
Recent Experience: You must have practiced as an MHO within the last 12 months.
Flexibility: A willingness to travel to various sites across Edinburgh as required.
Registration: Current registration with the SSSC.
