- Salary: £45,000 per annum + Company Van + Fuel Card + Company Equipment
The Role:
As a Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive maintenance services on various AC and refrigeration units within a commercial property portfolio. Your duties will encompass both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdown response, ensuring minimal disruption to client operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on a wide range of air conditioning and refrigeration systems, including:
- Split and Multi-Split systems
- VRV/VRF systems
- Chillers and associated plant
- AHUs (Air Handling Units) and FCUs (Fan Coil Units)
- Commercial refrigeration units (cold rooms, display fridges, etc.)
- Conduct fault finding, diagnosis, and rectification of complex issues related to AC and refrigeration units, including electrical faults, refrigerant leaks, and mechanical breakdowns.
- Carry out system commissioning, pressure testing, evacuation, and refrigerant charging in compliance with F-Gas regulations.
- Execute pipework fabrication, brazing, and installation as required.
- Ensure all work is carried out in strict accordance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
- Liaise directly with clients, site managers, and colleagues, providing clear communication and professional service.
- Complete accurate and timely documentation, including service reports, F-Gas logs, risk assessments, and permits to work.
- Manage stock of parts and equipment efficiently to ensure effective service delivery.
About You:
- AC/Refrigeration Qualified: Hold relevant qualifications, including:
- F-Gas Certification is essential.
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, and Heat Pump Systems (or equivalent).
- Proven Experience: Demonstrable experience as a Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer within a commercial maintenance environment.
- Technical Expertise: Strong fault-finding and diagnostic abilities across various AC and refrigeration systems.
- Driving Licence: Full UK Driving Licence essential.
- Self-Motivated: Able to work autonomously, manage time effectively, and take initiative in a mobile role.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client interaction and reporting.
- Safety Conscious: A strong commitment to health and safety best practices.
- Location: Reside within or have easy access to the South East region, capable of covering London, Essex, and East Anglia.
