Location: Milton Keynes & Surrounding Region
Sector: Retail Facilities Management
Salary: Competitive + Company Vehicle + Benefits
Are you a qualified Sparky who enjoys the variety of the open road rather than being stuck in the same four walls every day?
We are looking for a skilled Mobile Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a leading facilities management team. You'll be the face of the technical service department, ensuring that several high-profile retail sites across the Milton Keynes area remain safe, compliant, and fully operational.
The Role
This isn't just a "fix-and-finish" job. You'll be responsible for a mix of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs. While your primary focus is electrical, you're a "jack-of-all-trades" who isn't afraid to roll up your sleeves for general building upkeep.
Key Responsibilities:
Electrical Mastery: Fault finding, emergency lighting tests, fuse board inspections, PAT testing, and rewiring.
Fabric & Maintenance: Handling basic plumbing, carpentry, and painting tasks to keep stores looking sharp.
Compliance: Keeping meticulous records of inspections and ensuring every job meets H&S statutory standards.
Rapid Response: Attending emergency call-outs to minimize downtime for retail partners.
Collaboration: Working closely with store managers and subcontractors to solve complex site issues.
What You'll Need
We need someone proactive, customer-focused, and technically sound.
Qualified: NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent) and 18th Edition wiring regulations.
Experienced: Proven track record in commercial electrical work, preferably in a mobile or multi-site role.
Versatile: Comfortable pivoting from a socket repair to a basic plumbing fix.
Mobile: A full UK driving licence is essential.
Vetted: Must hold (or be willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS clearance.
