The Role:
As our Mobile Maintenance Electrician, you will be responsible for:
- Leading and mentoring a team of 4 maintenance electricians, providing guidance and support to ensure high standards of work.
- Performing planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on a wide range of electrical systems and equipment within school environments.
- Diagnosing and rectifying electrical faults efficiently and effectively, ensuring minimal disruption to school operations.
- Ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Managing your own workload and that of your team, prioritising tasks to meet deadlines and service level agreements.
- Maintaining accurate records of all maintenance activities.
- Working closely with school staff and stakeholders to understand their needs and provide excellent customer service.
- 1 in 4 on call rota (£100 standby)
About You:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A recognised electrical qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation, City & Guilds 2360/2330/2357).
- 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) certification is essential.
- Proven experience in electrical maintenance, ideally within commercial or public sector buildings. Experience in schools would be a significant advantage.
- Demonstrable leadership or supervisory experience, with the ability to motivate and manage a small team.
- An enhanced DBS check will be required for this role due to working within a school environment.
