We are seeking a reliable and experienced Multi-Skilled Carpenter/Joiner to join our team, delivering planned and reactive maintenance across a social housing contract with the local Council. This is a vital role requiring a strong primary trade skill and proven versatility across various building disciplines.
The Role & Responsibilities
Your primary focus will be high-quality carpentry, complemented by the ability to competently perform tasks across a range of other trades to ensure efficient job completion.
Core Trade: Execute all aspects of high-quality carpentry and joinery (first fix, second fix, repairs).
Multi-Trade Versatility: Confidently handle tasks across a minimum of three additional trades from the following list:
Plumbing (basic repairs/installs)
Plastering (patching/repairs)
Groundworks (minor repairs)
Vinyl floor tile laying (including sub-base preparation)
Wall tiling
UPVC window/door repairs (mechanisms, locks)
Bricklaying (minor repairs)
Social Housing Focus: Deliver excellent service while working within tenanted and void domestic properties.
Requirements & Compliance
Essential Qualification: Minimum NVQ Level 2 in Property Maintenance or a related trade (e.g., Carpentry/Joinery). Other NVQ qualifications are highly desirable.

CSCS Blue Card (Skilled Worker)
Asbestos Awareness
Manual Handling
Working at Heights
Tools: Must own a comprehensive set of professional hand and power tools.
