Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer - Bristol
seeking a dedicated Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our client in Bristol. You will play a crucial role in supporting our 24/6 operation, ensuring the continuous efficiency of our Sheeting, Printing, Cutting & Finishing machinery, which includes leading brands like Marquip, Bobst, and Manroland.
Your Mission:
...- Prevent machine failure during your shift and in subsequent shifts.
- Execute scheduled preventive maintenance tasks to the highest standards.
- Continuously observe machines, identifying potential failures or deteriorations in output, waste, or quality.
- Diagnose the root cause of issues and perform remedial work or effectively brief the next shift and Maintenance Manager.
- Develop and implement new preventive tasks, and train other engineers.
- Ensure the highest safety standards, conducting risk assessments and ensuring equipment is returned to production in a 100% safe condition.
What You'll Bring:
Apprentice trained, or equivalent experience
Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings.
Proficient in logical fault finding.
Experience with inverter, servo, and DC drives.
Familiarity with circuits from 415V to 24VDC power & control.
Strong understanding of planned and predictive maintenance.
Experience with pneumatics and hydraulics.
Worked with conveyors, chain, sprocket, and belt-driven machinery.
Experience with fan applications and high-speed rotating machinery.
Fabrication experience
Commitment to a first-time fix approach for repairs.
Qualifications:
- HNC/HND or equivalent in mechanical or electrical Engineering, or NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in electrical or mechanical Engineering.
- This is a fast-paced work environment. The site operates 24/6, and your shift pattern will align with this.
