Your Role as a Nursery Assistant:
As a Nursery Assistant, you will be a key part of the team responsible for creating a safe, fun, and engaging learning experience for children. Your daily responsibilities will align with the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) framework and will include:
Planning and leading engaging, play-based learning activities, including arts, crafts, and storytelling.
Ensuring the safety, welfare, and well-being of all children under your care at all times.
Maintaining a clean, tidy, and hygienic learning environment.
Assisting children with personal care routines, including mealtimes and nappy changing, with dignity and respect.
Building strong, positive relationships with parents and carers, providing regular updates on their child's progress and development.
Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the smooth running of the nursery.
Who We Are Looking For:
We are looking for a true team player with excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for early years education. The ideal candidate will be:
Passionate about working with children and contributing to their development.
An excellent communicator, able to engage effectively with children, parents, and staff.
A reliable, patient, and caring individual.
Able to work effectively as part of a team.
An NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare (or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
Must be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
