Key Responsibilities

• Support Child Development: Plan and lead engaging, play-based learning and creative activities aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.

• Ensure Child Safety: Maintain a safe, clean, and hygienic learning environment, ensuring the well-being of all children through constant supervision.

• Provide Personal Care: Confidently assist with daily personal care routines, including meal times, nappy changes, and toilet training.

• Parent Communication: Build positive relationships with parents and carers, providing regular updates on their child's progress and daily activities.

• Team Collaboration: Work effectively with colleagues to meet the individual needs of each child and contribute to a positive team environment.

• Contribute to Nursery Life: Have a meaningful impact on the lives of young children, fostering a love of learning in a fun and positive atmosphere.

Requirements and Skills

• A genuine passion for childcare and working with young children.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• The ability to work effectively as part of a team.

• A proactive, enthusiastic, and positive attitude.

• An understanding of safeguarding and health and safety procedures.

• Experience working with children in a nursery or school setting (desirable but not essential).

• An understanding of child development principles and the EYFS (desirable).

• A Level 2 or Level 3 Childcare Qualification (e.g., NNEB, NVQ, Cache) is advantageous, but we welcome applications from unqualified candidates willing to train.
