This is a full-time PE Teacher position starting in September 2025 at a vibrant and supportive secondary school in Leeds. Essential Requirements
... - QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Strong subject knowledge across a variety of sports
- An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
Desirable Skills
- First Aid qualification
- Confidence using performance analysis tools and apps
- Experience working in inclusive environments with a range of needs
- A track record of student success in team competitions or tournaments
- A willingness to support whole-school initiatives
- Positive role model with a professional and proactive attitude
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality PE lessons across KS3 and KS4.
- Contribute to a broad curriculum including invasion games, athletics, fitness and gymnastics.
- Lead and manage extracurricular clubs, fixtures, and sports events.
- Monitor and track student progress using data to inform teaching.
- Differentiate tasks to support a range of abilities, including SEN and EAL learners.
- Promote a culture of health, fitness, and well-being across the school.
- Maintain excellent behaviour management in lessons and changing rooms.
- Organise and support inter-school competitions and sports days.
- Contribute to whole-school events and enrichment activities.
- Ensure health and safety standards are met in all physical activities.
