We are seeking a dedicated Qualified PE Teacher (QTS) to join our partner secondary schools in Tottenham. This area is known for its incredible sporting heritage and diverse student population. We are looking for an educator who can engage students of all abilities, from those who represent the county to those who are just finding their confidence in physical activity. Whether you are an ECT or an experienced practitioner, you will be vital in promoting healthy lifestyles and competitive spirit across the school.
Your Responsibilities
- Practical Leadership: Plan and deliver high-energy lessons across a range of sports, including football, basketball, netball, athletics, and racket sports.
- Academic Theory: Lead GCSE PE or BTEC Sport Level 2/3 sessions, ensuring students grasp the physiological, psychological, and sociological aspects of sport.
- Inclusive Coaching: Adapt your teaching to engage all learners, fostering a "sport for all" ethos while providing high-level coaching for elite student-athletes.
- Safe Practice: Maintain rigorous health and safety standards in all environments, from the sports hall and fitness suite to the outdoor pitches.
- Extracurricular Drive: Support the school's competitive edge by organising after-school fixtures, inter-house competitions, and local league tournaments.
- Role Modelling: Act as a positive advocate for physical and mental wellbeing, helping students develop life skills like discipline, leadership, and fair play.
What You'll Bring to the Team
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Mandatory. A degree in Physical Education or a related sports science discipline.
