A dynamic, successful, and highly-regarded secondary school in the Upminster area is seeking a highly motivated and inspiring Part-Time Female PE Teacher to join their thriving Physical Education department. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated educator to cover a temporary vacancy from January 2026 until the end of the academic year (July 2026).
The Role and Responsibilities
We are looking for an exceptional teacher to deliver high-quality, engaging PE lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, focusing on developing skills, promoting health, and fostering a lifelong love of sport in our female students.
Key Requirements & Commitments:
Part-Time Schedule: Required commitment is Monday to Thursday, inclusive of after-school sports fixtures on these days (fixtures are mandatory).
Plan, prepare, and deliver challenging and supportive PE lessons to girl's classes.
Teach a broad range of activities, including netball, hockey, gymnastics, athletics, and dance.
Contribute significantly to the extra-curricular programme, running clubs and leading competitive school teams on the required days.
Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
Note: Due to the requirement to teach single-sex classes and manage changing room facilities, this role has been designated for a Female teacher as a genuine occupational requirement.

Candidate Requirements
A relevant degree in Physical Education or a related subject, OR significant experience delivering the PE curriculum.
Proven track record of delivering excellent outcomes at KS3 and KS4.
Exceptional drive to inspire and coach female students, fostering both broad participation and high-level performance.
Commitment to contributing to the wider school community and extra-curricular life.
Must be available Monday to Thursday, starting January 2026.
