Rate: Up to £500-600 per day (Outside IR35 - Paid via Ltd Co) DOE
We have a rare, long-term opportunity for a Project Planner to join a major rail upgrade project in Cardiff. This role is perfect for a scheduling expert who enjoys the complexity of multi-disciplinary schemes involving Civils & Building.
As the project moves through its delivery phase, you will be the "engine room" of the schedule, ensuring the project remains on track, compliant, and commercially viable.
Key Responsibilities
Schedule Management: Creating, maintaining, and updating complex project schedules using Primavera P6.
Integrated Project Team: Working closely with Site/Sub Agents to capture progress from both self-delivery teams and subcontractors (50/50 split).
Reporting: Developing progress reports, dashboards, and S-curves for senior management and external stakeholders.
Change & Risk: Managing delay analysis, identifying critical path impacts, and assisting with RFI/NCR impact assessments on the program.
Stakeholder Liaison: Interfacing with the client and Network Rail to ensure all milestones and access constraints are effectively managed.
The Ideal Candidate
Technical Expertise: Must be a power user of Primavera P6.
Sector Experience: Proven track record in Rail or general Civils.
Communication: Able to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for the delivery team.
