About the Role
As a plasterer, you'll be responsible for a wide variety of plastering tasks within occupied and void social housing properties. This role requires versatility, a strong customer focus, and a commitment to delivering excellent standards. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Skimming and re-skimming walls and ceilings to a high standard.
- Patching and repairing damaged plasterwork.
- Applying render to external and internal walls.
- Rendering and finishing surfaces to prepare them for decoration.
- Working efficiently and cleanly within residents' homes, ensuring minimal disruption and leaving properties tidy.
- Interacting respectfully and professionally with residents and colleagues.
- Adhering strictly to all health and safety regulations and company policies, especially when working in occupied properties.
Required Skills / Experience
- Proven and highly experienced as a plasterer, with a significant background in domestic work.
- A valid CSCS card is essential for this role.
- Asbestos awareness, manual handling and working at heights.
- Experienced in social housing or similar residential maintenance environments is essential.
- Has strong communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable engaging positively with residents.
- Reliable, punctual, and highly motivated, with a strong work ethic.
- Able to manage time effectively and work independently or as part of a team.
- Full UK driving licence and own transport.
