Are you a dedicated and skilled engineer looking for a crucial permanent role? We're seeking a Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) Engineer to join our team, delivering essential maintenance across various supermarkets within your region.
In this role, you'll primarily focus on PPM, ensuring our clients' equipment operates smoothly and efficiently. You'll also provide vital support for operational needs, addressing reactive maintenance, especially during busy periods like summer and peak trading.

Key Responsibilities:
- Execute PPM schedules efficiently, ensuring completion within agreed timelines and accurate documentation according to established procedures.
- Address reactive maintenance tasks promptly, completing all necessary paperwork accurately and in line with procedures.
- Quickly identify irreparable faults, inform the Line Manager of findings, and provide recommendations for suitable replacements.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical and compliance documentation at all times.
- Participate in an out-of-hours standby rota (minimum 4 weeks per year), taking responsibility for arranging and communicating any required cover for absences (holidays, unforeseen circumstances) to your Line Manager.
Ideal Candidate:
- NVQ/City & Guilds in Refrigeration
- Refrigerant Handling C&G 2079 or equivalent CITB certification
- Completion of a Time Served Apprenticeship
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
- Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable:
- Hydrocarbon refrigerant certification
- CO2 Refrigerant Training
- Experience in commercial/supermarket environments
