We are seeking a dedicated Qualified Primary Teacher (QTS) for an immediate start long-term contract at an established partner Primary School in Royston. Covering Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 classrooms, this progressive primary school offers a well-resourced environment dedicated to helping every child succeed. We need a forward-thinking teacher who can adapt lessons to diverse learning styles, guide classroom support staff, and foster a warm, high-achieving learning environment.
Core Responsibilities
- Adapted Curriculum Delivery: Formulate and teach tailored, high-impact lessons aligned strictly with National Curriculum guidelines to suit varied pupil capabilities.
- Core Subject Mastery: Use interactive teaching tools, practical maths strategies, and modern phonics schemes to advance pupil performance.
- Classroom Team Guidance: Direct and mentor room Teaching Assistants to maintain a safe, highly organised, and positive learning space.
- Progress Tracking: Utilise structured assessment systems to record individual pupil milestones, evaluate growth, and celebrate academic achievements.
- Multidisciplinary Liaison: Work closely alongside the SENCO, key stage coordinators, and school leadership to support SEND and EAL pupils effectively.
- Parental Engagement: Maintain clear, encouraging communication with parents and carers to build a strong home-school connection.
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Essential. Experience teaching within UK primary settings (both Early Career Teachers and experienced staff are encouraged to apply).
- Pedagogical Knowledge: Solid grasp of primary curriculum expectations, adaptive teaching methods, and positive behaviour reinforcement.
- Resilient Demeanour: A calm, patient, and grounded approach to maintaining an attentive, supportive classroom environment.
- Team-Oriented Mindset: A strong commitment to working alongside colleagues to prioritise pupil welfare and achievement.
- Compliance Checks: Holds an Enhanced Child DBS registered on the Update Service (or readiness to complete a new application via Randstad).
