What You'll Be Doing
You'll be responsible for a variety of welding and brazing operations, from assembling parts and sub-assemblies to performing maintenance work. Your role will involve:
- Brazing low-temperature silver and high-temperature brass work
- Welding aluminium, stainless steel, and mild steel to AWSD17.1/D17.1M:2010-AMD1 standards
- Operating a spot welder and carrying out deburring, polishing, and quality tests.
- Assisting with Proof of Concept and other development welding activities.
- Providing welding support for the maintenance team.
Characteristics & Skills
We're looking for someone with an engineering background who is able to read and interpret engineering drawings. You should also have:
- Experience using measuring equipment, gas cutters, grinders, and Gas Tungsten Arc equipment.
- Knowledge and experience with engineering hand tools.
- Certification to BS EN:12797:2000 and AWSD17.1/D17.1M:2010-AMD1.
