- To carry out the safe and efficient sorting of gas cylinders by the effective operation on a sort stand
- Using a 2.5 ton counter balance FLT, unloading of cylinders and banks from vehicles adding to the dedicated bays - assisting Senior Plant Operators and Facility manager on day to day yard duties,
- Some general housekeeping will be part of the role.
- The place is a COMAH site having hazards (gas, pressure, noise, cryogeny…)
- Working as part of a small team on day work in a fast moving environment.
How You Will Contribute and Grow
- Operate a FLT (Current License required), 2.5T counterbalance
- Safety-first policy - STOP for safety
- Record on documents for KPI reporting
- Operate fork lift trucks and pallet trucks safely and efficiently
- Comply with company and government regulations
- Experience in chemical/mechanical/related industries preferred
- Adopt a flexible approach to support operational needs
- Maintain a clean and tidy environment; report repair needs
- Good communication skills and teamwork
- Ability to manage own time and work clearly
- Used to working in a unionised environment
- Good health, fitness, and eyesight
- Flexible, punctual and willing to learn
- Manual handling of gas cylinders, pallets and straps
