Role Overview
- Job Title: Production Operative
- Job Type: Temporary - Ongoing
- Location: Forest of Dean (GL16 8JB)
- Starting Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour
- Post-Parity Pay Rate: £13.62 per hour (Day & Night) after 12 weeks!
- Shift Patterns:
o 8-Hour Rotation: Morning (06:00 - 14:00), Afternoon (14:00 - 22:00), Night (22:00 - 06:00)
o 12-Hour Rotation: Day (06:00 - 18:00), Night (18:00 - 06:00)
o (Must be fully flexible to work all shifts and patterns)
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the effective production and packaging of high-quality goods.
- Prepare, operate, and clean packaging equipment efficiently.
- Perform on-line quality control checks on finished products, components, and syrups.
- Strictly follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and adhere to safety/PPE guidelines.
- Assist across cross-functional teams depending on daily production needs.
- Handle manual lifting duties safely as required.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Previous production operative experience or background in food/drink manufacturing is beneficial, but not essential-a great attitude is key!
- Key Behaviours: Reliable, physically fit for hands-on tasks, flexible across shift patterns, and driven to succeed.
- Education: GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.
- Skills: Basic computer literacy and excellent communication skills (writing, speaking, and reading).
