About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to take operational control of a key Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund (SHDF) retrofit scheme in Milton Keynes running through until the end of March.
You will lead the overall project lifecycle, driving commercial performance, supply chain management, client reporting, and delivery of multi-measure energy efficiency retrofits across occupied social housing properties.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Delivery: End-to-end management of the SHDF scheme, ensuring key milestones and funding deadlines are met through to the end of March.
- Technical Oversight: Manage the delivery of renewable technologies and insulation measures, including Solar PV, Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHPs), Loft Insulation, and Cavity Wall Insulation (CWI).
- PAS Compliance: Ensure all works strictly align with PAS 2030 / PAS 2035 standards and framework specifications.
- Commercial & Programming: Monitor budget allocation, manage sub-contractor valuations, drive short- and medium-term master programmes, and report on project KPIs.
- Client & Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary liaison for the local authority/housing association, chairing progress meetings and providing regular performance updates.
- Leadership: Lead site teams, Site Managers, and Resident Liaison Officers (RLOs) to maintain safety, quality, and high customer satisfaction ratings in occupied homes.
Person Specification & Qualifications
Essential:
- Proven track record as a Project Manager delivering social housing retrofit, SHDF, ECO, or warmworks contracts.
- In-depth technical knowledge of decarbonisation measures (Solar PV, ASHP, CWI, Loft Insulation).
- Solid working knowledge of PAS 2030 / PAS 2035 retrofit frameworks.
- Valid SMSTS and CSCS Card (Black / Gold preferred).
- Strong commercial acumen and team management skills.
- Experience managing client relationships with local authorities or housing associations.
Desirable:
- Level 5 Diploma in Retrofit Management or PAS 2035 Retrofit Coordinator qualification.
