Purpose of the Role
The QSHE Advisor is responsible for implementing quality, safety, health, and environmental
(QSHE) programs and ensuring compliance with GxP and EHS standards across the
pharmaceutical Cork site and, where necessary, other sites in Ireland. This is a hands-on
role supporting site teams with due diligence, compliance, and the management of all

aspects of health, safety, and quality in line with company and client policies. The role acts
as the main point of contact for QSHE on the contract and plays a key part in maintaining
operational excellence and adherence to regulatory and corporate requirements.
Key Responsibilities
● Implement and support the local QSHE programs, including self-inspections, risk
management, management reviews, business continuity planning, and electronic
quality management systems.
● Align the EHS program with the in-country EHS team and client standards.
● Conduct root cause investigations for QSHE issues and implement corrective
actions.
● Deliver GxP, QMS, and EHS training to the operational teams.
● Build strong working relationships with Sodexo and client teams.
● Provide support and guidance to both Sodexo and client quality/compliance and
EHS personnel.
● Develop and maintain site-specific quality plans aligned with regional quality
frameworks.
● Manage and review quality agreements with the client.
● Prepare monthly reports highlighting successes, risks, and KPI trends.
● Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives and QSHE team
meetings.
Key Accountabilities
● Successful completion of client and regulatory audits related to GxP and EHS.
● Timely and effective incident reporting and investigation.
● Standardization and optimization of QSHE processes.
● Value creation through improved systems and compliance.
● Ongoing professional development and application of technical/business
knowledge.
Person Specification
Essential:
● Level 8 H&S qualification or equivalent.
● Experience in a regulated pharmaceutical (GxP) environment, particularly in
quality, labs, or facilities management.
● Background in auditing and ability to write clear, impactful reports.
● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
● Ability to deliver effective training and communicate across diverse teams.
Desirable:
● Project management experience.
● Membership in relevant professional bodies (Quality, EHS).
● Commercial awareness with sound judgement.
● ISO 9001 & ISO 45001 Lead Auditor certification.
