A compassionate, highly skilled Female QTS Tutor is required to provide 1:1 tuition and mentoring for a Year 11 female student with diagnosed Autism, ADHD, severe anxiety, and EBSA. The tuition will begin in the home environment with the goal of transitioning her into the school's therapeutic CASA provision.
Pupil Profile & Key Needs
- Year 11 female student with diagnosed ASD, ADHD, severe anxiety, low mood, and EBSA.
- History of self-harm and suicidal ideation associated with low mood; prone to autistic burnout and withdrawal when overwhelmed.
- Academically capable but currently struggling to access education due to mental health needs (33% attendance rate).
- Interests include her family dog, skincare, hair care, music, rom-coms, and gaming (The Sims, Fortnite).
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver 2 sessions per week of face-to-face English and Maths tuition in a quiet home environment.
- Deliver 1 session per week of dedicated mentoring focused on emotional regulation, confidence building, and anxiety toolkits.
- Utilise CENTURY Tech digital platform for interactive, low-stress learning modules.
- Maintain vigilant safeguarding practices in line with her risk profile (self-harm/low mood awareness).
- Liaise with school inclusion managers (CASA provision), CAMHS, and TAF professionals to structure reintegration visits.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - Female tutor explicitly requested by family.
- Specialist experience supporting female students with ASD, ADHD, EBSA, low mood, and sensory sensitivities.
- Robust safeguarding training and experience with self-harm risk management.
- Gentle, low-demand, relational pedagogical approach with expertise in autistic burnout recovery.
