Randstad are recruiting for a Qualified Social Worker to join Wirral Council's Safeguarding. This is a full time role with a fantastic pay rate of £36 per hour.

Responsibilities:
- Responding to and managing safeguarding concerns in line with legislation and local procedures.
- Undertaking Section 42 enquiries as per the Care Act duties.
- Working closely with vulnerable adults and their families to deliver positive outcomes and ensure their views are at the heart of the work.
- Collaborating with other agencies like the police and health professionals as part of multi-agency safeguarding hubs (MASH).
- Completing strengths-based Care Act assessments and person-centered support plans for adults aged 18 and over.
- Promoting the wellbeing of adults with care and support needs.
- Reassessing individuals in the community or those recently discharged from the hospital.
- Undertaking assessments for Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) as a Best Interests Assessor.
- Working in various teams, such as Integrated Community Coordination Teams (ICCTs), MASH, Review teams, and Urgent Community Response teams.
- Representing Adult Social Care at multi-disciplinary team (MDT) meetings.
- Providing expert advice on legislation such as the Care Act and Mental Capacity Act.
- Liaising with external stakeholders including housing, police, and the voluntary sector to ensure holistic support.
- Some roles, particularly in the Professional Standards team, focus on leading and managing social work teams to ensure high-quality practice.
- They are responsible for providing professional supervision, coaching, and mentoring to team members.
- This includes auditing practice to ensure adherence to professional frameworks and promoting continuous development.
Requirements:
- Social Work Degree or equivalent
- Social Work England registered
- Enhanced DBS
