Children's Social Worker - Cared For Children Service
We are currently looking to recruit dedicated and passionate Locum Social Workers to join our Cared For Children Service, supporting care experienced young people up to the age of 18 as they prepare to transition into Leaving Care services.

About the Role
- You will work as part of a supportive and established social work team consisting of a Team Manager, Senior Practitioner, and 7 Social Workers. The service promotes collaborative working, professional development, and reflective practice.
- The team is based in Ashton-under-Lyne, co-located with colleagues from Fostering, Leaving Care, Youth Justice, and Commissioning, enabling strong multi-agency collaboration and effective joint working.
To be considered for the role, ideally you will have:
- Qualified Social Worker with a recognised Social Work qualification
- Social Work England registration
- Experience working with care experienced children / young people
- Strong understanding of care planning and permanence
- Ability to build meaningful relationships and deliver child-centred practice
- Motivated, organised, and collaborative approach
