An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Qualified Social Worker to join a dedicated Children and Families team in Duns. This role is ideal for those passionate about Child Protection and Family Placement, providing key outcomes for vulnerable members of the community.
This contract is for a minimum of 3 months and offers a competitive rate ranging from £40 per hour, with flexible working patterns and the option of working from home.
Your Responsibilities
Your role will involve supporting children and their families through critical interventions, including:
Child Protection: Carrying out investigations and managing high-risk cases to ensure the safety of children.
Caseload Management: Managing your own varied caseload within a busy statutory team.
Assessments & Reviews: Conducting comprehensive assessments and regular reviews of care plans.
Report Writing: Producing high-quality reports for Children's Hearings and court proceedings.
Requirements
Degree in Social Work or equivalent.
Member of the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
Member of the PVG scheme.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure in a child protection environment.
