The Role
As our new Reception Class Teacher, you will be responsible for:
- Planning, preparing, and delivering engaging and differentiated lessons that cater to the diverse needs of all pupils in your Reception class, ensuring excellent progress and attainment within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Creating a positive, stimulating, and safe learning environment where children feel valued, happy, and confident, fostering a love of learning from the very start.
- Assessing and monitoring pupil progress regularly through observation and interaction, providing constructive feedback and adapting teaching strategies accordingly.
- Maintaining accurate records of pupil achievement and contributing to pupil reports, particularly focusing on the EYFS Profile.
- Collaborating effectively with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community to support pupil well-being and learning outcomes, building strong home-school partnerships.
- Contributing to the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities and school events.
- Upholding the school's ethos and policies, including safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
We are looking for a teacher who:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Has proven experience of teaching in Early Years, particularly Reception.
- Possesses a strong understanding of the EYFS framework, child development, and early phonics.
- Demonstrates excellent classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate young learners through play-based and experiential learning.
- Has strong communication and interpersonal skills, building positive relationships with children, parents, and staff.
- Is committed to continuous professional development and contributing to a collaborative team environment.
