Pay: £150 to £220 per day (depending on experience)

Are you a passionate and inspiring Religious Education Teacher ready for your next opportunity? If so, we are looking for you!

We are working closely with several fantastic secondary schools across Sefton who are looking to appoint dedicated RE Teachers for the new academic year starting in September. Whether you're an experienced teacher or an ECT, we want to hear from you!

About the Role:

You'll be responsible for delivering engaging and thought-provoking lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping students explore religious, philosophical, and ethical topics. Your role will be central to promoting respectful debate, curiosity, and cultural understanding in the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver high-quality RE lessons that are accessible and inclusive.
Teach across KS3 and KS4 with confidence and enthusiasm.
Encourage open dialogue and critical thinking on a range of faith-based and ethical issues.
Prepare students GCSE Religious Studies exams.
Assess, monitor and report on pupil progress regularly.
Create a supportive and respectful classroom culture.
Work collaboratively with the humanities department and wider school staff.
Follow safeguarding and school behaviour policies consistently.

What You'll Need:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Specialism in Religious Education or related subjects (Theology, Philosophy, etc.).
Experience teaching RE at secondary level (KS3 and/or KS4).
Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
Passion for the subject and ability to make lessons meaningful and relevant.
An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).
