As a Residential Children's Worker, you'll play a crucial role in providing care and support to children and young people with complex needs in a residential setting.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Building positive relationships with each child and young person, fostering a supportive and safe environment.
- Assisting with daily activities, including meal times and recreational activities.
- Implementing individual care plans and supporting each child and young person's development and well-being.
- Collaborating with colleagues and external professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for the children and young people in your care.
Position Details:
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week.
Contract: Initially temporary, with the opportunity for a permanent role.
Shifts: Choose between day shifts or night shifts, providing flexibility to suit your schedule and preferences.
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- Previous experience working with children and young people, particularly those with complex needs.
- A compassionate and patient demeanour, with a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable individuals.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
- SVQ Level 3 in Children in Social Care or equivalent
