Randstad is looking for passionate Residential Childcare Workers to join an expert team in an award-winning service near Dundee.
About the Service
This service supports children and young people aged 10-21 who have experienced past trauma and present with social, emotional, and behavioural issues. You will support young people on their challenging but rewarding journeys, transitioning them from secure services to residential care, and finally throughcare (back to family, independent tenancy, or adult support services).

A Successful Candidate Will Be Responsible For:
Encouraging the physical, emotional and social wellbeing of the children in the service.
Establishing and maintaining strong relationships and acting as a key worker.
Utilising positive behaviour techniques.
Coordinating with teachers, social workers, and the wider care team to advance the needs of young people.
Maintaining a professional manner and strictly working to National Care Standards.
Promoting participation in education and life skills programmes.
Minimum Requirements to Apply
To be successful in your application, you must meet the following criteria:
Have previous experience working in a care setting with young people.
Knowledge of cognitive behavioural approaches, attachment theory, and child protection policy.
Experience advocating on behalf of a young person.
Register under the PVG scheme.
Full driving licence (Essential).
Experience in a secure setting is beneficial, but not essential.
