This is a vital leadership role ensuring our services meet CQC and contractual standards, while providing unconditional positive regard and support to individuals and staff.
📝 Role Summary
Role Title: Respite Co-ordinator Location: Doncaster (Managing two sites) Directorate: Adults, Well-being & Culture
🔑 Key Responsibilities
Service Management: Oversee day-to-day care and support, ensuring the principles of cleanliness, comfort, safety, privacy, dignity, and choice are maintained.
Person-Centred Care: Implement and support outcome-based support plans, enabling individuals to make informed choices.
Safeguarding: Ensure South Yorkshire safeguarding adults' procedures are strictly followed.
Team Leadership: Provide day-to-day management, supervision, training, and mentoring to staff.
Direct Support: Assist individuals with daily living needs and encourage independence through accessing activities/opportunities.
👤 Essential Requirements
Experience: Experience in Health & Social Care.
Experience: Experience in implementing care planning/processes and working with quality assurance systems.
Knowledge: Working knowledge of safeguarding processes.
Skills: Effective professional communication and ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team.
Qualities: High level of personal accountability, resilience, and ability to work under pressure.
Flexibility: Willingness to work flexibly and ability to travel across locality areas when required.
✨ Highly Desirable
Minimum Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care (Level 4 desirable).
Experience working with individuals with a learning disability and/or ADHD.
Experience of challenging behaviours and positive behaviour support plans.
Knowledge of medication processes and best practice.
Awareness of working in a Community Led Support Model.
