Our client, an established family-run Irish retailer and the largest independent furniture retailer in the country, is seeking an experienced Store Manager to lead their dynamic team in the high-profile Airside Store.
This challenging and rewarding position requires a leader with a strong retail sales background and a genuine desire to deliver a first-rate customer experience while driving both personal and company success.
The Person & The Role
The successful candidate will be a proven sales leader instrumental in supporting and developing the sales team to consistently exceed targets. The role demands excellent organisational and communication skills to ensure the continuous smooth running and development of the store.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Sales Leadership: Demonstrate a determined drive for sales, consistently leading by example on the shop floor.
Team Development: Continuously communicate with, motivate, and coach the team to ensure high standards of product knowledge, adherence to company policies, and embodiment of brand values.
Customer Experience: Deliver exceptional, first-rate customer service at all times.
Operational Management: Hold responsibility as the first point of contact for the store, efficiently liaising across all internal departments and senior management.
Team Management: Conduct all people management activities, including performance management, training, and recruitment support, in liaison with HR and senior management.
Reporting: Complete regular, accurate performance reports for senior management.
Skills & Qualifications
A proven people manager and collaborative team player with a strong retail sales background.
Exceptional communication and coaching skills are required to mentor the sales team.
Excellent administrative and organisational skills are essential for managing day-to-day store operations.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and possesses an easy ability to learn bespoke in-house systems.
Available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Previous furniture experience is a benefit but not essential.
Ability to use your own initiative, escalating issues to senior management when appropriate.
