ABOUT THE ROLE
We are currently recruiting experienced Flat Roofers for an upcoming 6 to 8-week project based in Dudley.
The scheme involves refurbishing commercial/flat roofing structures, specifically stripping back existing layers and installing high-performance Alumasc felt roofing systems, including vapor control layers, carrier membranes, and insulation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Stripping back existing roof coverings, carrier tape, and degraded insulation down to the deck safely.
- Preparing substrates and installing carrier layers, vapour control layers (VCL), and rigid insulation boards.
- Applying torch-on / cold-applied Alumasc felt waterproofing systems to manufacturer specification.
- Completing upstands, detail work, flashings, and outlets to ensure a fully watertight finish.
- Adhering strictly to site health & safety protocols, including safe working at height and hot-works permits.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Essential: Valid CSCS Card (Skilled Worker preferred).
- Essential: Proven experience in flat felt roofing, specifically with Alumasc systems (or similar torch-on / built-up felt systems).
- Essential: Hands-on experience with full strip-outs, carrier tape, and insulation installation.
- Essential: Full personal PPE and standard flat roofing hand tools / torch kit.
- Desirable: Full UK Driving License / local to Dudley or the Black Country area.
