Job Overview:

We are currently seeking a committed and experienced Senior Social Worker to join the Family Court and Safeguarding Proceedings (FCSP) team in Lambeth. This role involves working with children and families involved in court proceedings and child protection matters, delivering high-quality, evidence-based assessments and care plans to ensure the best outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out complex assessments and deliver high-quality written reports for court.

• Undertake statutory interventions, including Child Protection and Looked After Children processes.

• Lead on case planning and ensure timely progression of cases in line with legal and procedural requirements.

• Participate in multi-agency meetings and maintain clear, effective communication with families and professionals.

• Supervise and support less experienced staff when required, sharing best practice and knowledge.

• Ensure children's voices are heard and that their best interests remain central to all decision-making.

• Maintain accurate, timely case records in line with statutory responsibilities.

Requirements:

• Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration.

• Minimum of 3 years' experience working in Children's Social Care, particularly in court or safeguarding settings.

• Strong knowledge of child protection legislation, court processes, and the Children Act.

• Excellent assessment, planning, and report-writing skills.

• Ability to work under pressure, manage caseloads effectively, and meet deadlines.
