We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Advanced Practitioner to join our Integrated Adolescent Team in Lewisham. This role focuses on working with vulnerable adolescents and young people at risk of exploitation, offending, homelessness, and other complex challenges. You will play a key leadership role, guiding social workers and supporting high-quality, child-focused practice across the team.
Work with adolescents who are subject to statutory interventions, including Child in Need, Child Protection, and Looked After processes.
Provide expert guidance and case consultation to social workers handling complex cases.
Lead on risk assessments and planning in cases involving child exploitation, gang affiliation, missing episodes, and mental health concerns.
Support multi-agency working to ensure a holistic and integrated approach to service delivery.
Participate in strategy discussions, multi-agency meetings, and reviews.
Mentor less experienced staff and contribute to the team's professional development.
Ensure compliance with statutory duties, local policies, and best practices.
Promote the voice of the adolescent in care planning and decision-making processes.
Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration.
Minimum of 4-5 years' post-qualification experience in children's services.
Proven experience working with adolescents and complex safeguarding issues.
Strong assessment, analytical, and communication skills.
In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation including the Children Act, Working Together, and contextual safeguarding approaches.
Leadership ability and a commitment to promoting excellence in social work practice.
Work in a dynamic, multi-agency team focused on adolescent well-being.
