      Production Planner Randstad Engineering are currently recruiting for a Production Planner to come and work for TATA Steel, Corby on a full time basis. The role will be based within Planning & Scheduling and is an initial 6 month contract with the view to bringing a candidate on permanently provided they are successful. The position is paying £28,700 per annum, working 38 hours per week. The RoleAs the Supply Chain Scheduler, you will report to the Corby Deployment Lead and will be responsible for the planning / scheduling and enquiry handling activities for Manufacturing Units of the Tubes business at the Corby site, in such a manner as to satisfy both customer and supply chain needs.You will also be required to ensure the plans and actions optimise supply chain performance. In this capacity you will have, single point responsibility for procurement, planning and scheduling of manufacturing units within Tubes at the Corby site.To carry out this role successfully, you will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:To undertake mill planning, producing robust manufacturing programs, which support customerrequirements in the most efficient and effective manner.To undertake coil feedstock forecasting and planning for the Manufacturing Unit's order book, toproduce a robust procurement instruction, which minimised working capital and optimises millproductivity.To operate and maintain the SAP Planning system in line with capacity management processesto control manufacturing load, define customer ready for despatch commitments and supportorder entry.To ensure synchronisation is maintained between inbound coil, the Manufacturing Mills and orderload.To validate commercial forecasts and identify potential commercial opportunities for exploitation(volume, phasing etc.) based on existing forecasts and Manufacturing capability to ensure millutilisation is maximised.To provide single contact point on scheduling / planning / enquiries for the relevant ManufacturingManager and the Commercial Department.To coordinate non-technical enquiry handling for the Manufacturing unit.
