      Are you looking for a new role as a Product Engineer? Do you want to work for a Remote Diagnostic Technologies business? If so, this could be the role for you!This role is for a Product Engineer to assist our client in its development of new products as well as working to maintain the design of the existing product line. You will be required to comply with our client's ISO13485 quality system. This system has a phased approach to product design progressing from concept, through prototype to pre-production and full production. The role will include running hardware development projects involving electronics design. These will either be developing new or refining and enhancing existing features. The role will involve working on design modules including: writing design specifications, specifying components, creating schematics evaluating designs, prototyping assemblies and prototype testing. The candidate will be responsible for liaising with suppliers to manage the build of prototypes and pre-production units and subsequently support moving the design outcome into internal and subcontractor production. As well as offering technical support to ongoing production activities and customer related issues.The role will also involve supporting the team during functional system testing on the new product designs they produce. This will include running test protocols, investigating and resolving issues and reporting results.This role is offered on a full time contract basis initially until Jan 2022. There is a strong potential that this role can be turned into a permanent role for the right candidate in the future. Responsibilities:Engineering tasks required to progress the development of new products, in particular electronic sub-system design and development, supplier liaison, testing, producing and managing specifications and other related documentationEngineering tasks required to support and maintain the quality assurance within all product manufacturingPreparation of new and updated engineering documents relating to designs.Maintaining the Design History File for new and existing product designsManaging the production of engineering documentation that will be generated in design for use in productionTo offer technical support to the manufacturing and returns department.Qualifications: An Electronics degree from an accredited University or HND and 3years experience.Essential Experience: 3-5+ years' experience in product developmentStrong working knowledge and experience of electronics and systemsHighly PC literate, experienced in Word/Excel etcSchematic and PCB CAD design experience/skillsDemonstrable organizational skillsA good eye for detailExperience developing products for medium-large scale manufactureDesirableAppreciation of mechanical design aspectsExperience of working within an organization operating an ISO13485 quality system and meeting regulatory requirementsStrong analytical, test and hardware debugging skills Randstad CPE values diversity and promotes equality.
