South Tyneside Council is looking for a motivated and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join our dedicated Safeguarding Team. This is a vital role where you'll be at the forefront of protecting vulnerable adults and children, ensuring their safety and well-being through professional intervention and collaborative practice.
Pay Rate & Key Requirements
Pay Rate: £21 - £27 per hour
Essential:
You must be a qualified Social Worker.
Social Care England registration is a must.
An updated DBS check is required.
Roles & Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive safeguarding investigations and risk assessments to protect individuals from abuse and neglect.
Manage a complex caseload, ensuring all cases are handled in line with the Care Act 2014 and Mental Capacity Act 2005.
Work collaboratively within a multi-agency framework, liaising with police, health services, and other professionals to ensure a coordinated response.
Develop, implement, and review care plans that are person-centered and focused on achieving positive outcomes for individuals.
Maintain accurate, detailed, and up-to-date records on the council's care management systems.
Provide support and advice to individuals, their families, and carers, empowering them to make informed decisions about their own lives.
Participate in Safeguarding Adult Reviews (SARs) and other multi-agency meetings to contribute to continuous service improvement.
