This role is for someone who thrives on being at the heart of a school's daily operations. As the first point of contact for staff, students, and parents, you will play a vital role in maintaining the school's high standards of professionalism. You will handle a wide range of administrative tasks, from managing student records to assisting with day-to-day inquiries, ensuring the office remains efficient and effective.
Key Details:
- Pay: £13.68 - £14.50 per hour.
- Location: Across the Wirral peninsula, including Birkenhead (CH41, CH42, CH43), Wallasey (CH44, CH45), Bebington (CH63), Bromborough (CH62, CH63), and Heswall (CH60, CH61). We also have opportunities in Hoylake (CH47, CH48), West Kirby (CH48), and other surrounding areas including Moreton (CH46), Greasby (CH49), and Eastham (CH62). Our vacancies cover all of the Wirral postcodes: CH41, CH42, CH43, CH44, CH45, CH46, CH47, CH48, CH49, CH60, CH61, CH62, and CH63.
A Day in the Life:
- System Management: Utilise school management systems, with a focus on SIMS, for data entry, record updates, and generating reports.
- Communication Hub: Answer and direct phone calls, manage the school's email inbox, and handle general inquiries from parents and visitors.
- Organisational Tasks: Assist with the smooth running of the school office, including filing, photocopying, and handling incoming and outgoing mail.
- Student and Staff Support: Maintain accurate student attendance records and provide administrative support to senior leadership and teaching staff.
- Confidentiality: Handle all sensitive information with the utmost discretion and professionalism.
What You'll Bring to the Team:
- Experience: Previous administrative experience is essential, with a strong preference for candidates who have worked in a school setting.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and a demonstrated ability to learn new software quickly.
- SIMS Experience: We are specifically looking for candidates with recent experience using the SIMS database system.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous in your work, with a commitment to accuracy and efficiency.
- Interpersonal Skills: A positive and professional attitude, with the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of people.
