The Role:
As the School Caretaker, you will be the go-to person for all things related to the school's security, cleanliness, and maintenance. You will play a crucial part in ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. Typical Duties and Responsibilities:
- Security: Be responsible for the opening and closing of the school buildings and grounds.
- Maintenance: Handle general repairs and maintenance tasks, including minor plumbing, electrical work, and painting.
- Health and Safety: Conduct regular checks and report any potential hazards. Ensure all safety regulations are met.
- Cleaning: Oversee and assist with the cleaning of the school premises.
- Grounds keeping: Maintain the school grounds, including litter removal and basic garden upkeep.
- General Duties: Be on hand to assist with deliveries, move furniture, and support school events.
