Randstad Education is looking for a versatile School Caretaker to join a friendly primary school team in Leeds.
The Job Role:
Acting as the primary key holder, responsible for the opening and securing of the school site.
Performing general DIY tasks, including minor plumbing, carpentry, and painting/decorating.
Monitoring the heating, lighting, and water systems to ensure they are functioning efficiently.
Overseeing the cleaning team and assisting with grounds maintenance (litter picking, leaf clearing).
Setting up halls for assemblies, exams, and community events.
Requirements:
Essential: Must have previous experience in a maintenance or caretaking role within the UK.
A proactive attitude and the ability to identify and fix problems before they escalate.
Basic knowledge of Health & Safety legislation (e.g., COSHH, Fire Safety).
Physical fitness to handle lifting and moving furniture.
