The Role:
As our Finance Assistant, you'll be responsible for a range of essential duties that keep the school's finances accurate and up-to-date. You'll work closely with the wider administration team to ensure financial processes are efficient and compliant.
- Financial Administration: Manage the school's purchase and sales ledgers, including processing invoices, raising payments, and reconciling accounts.
- Income Management: Handle cash and digital payments for school activities, such as trips and school meals, ensuring all income is recorded and banked correctly.
- Reporting: Assist with preparing financial reports and data for management and audits.
- General Support: Provide administrative support to the Headteacher and other staff on financial matters, maintaining a high level of confidentiality and accuracy.

What We're Looking For:
We need a reliable and organised individual with a strong foundation in finance or accounting. You should have:
- Experience: Proven experience in a finance or accounts administration role is essential.
- IT Proficiency: Confidence in using financial software and strong skills in Microsoft Excel are a must. Experience with a school-specific system like PS Financials (IRIS) or SIMS is highly desirable.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional numerical skills and a keen eye for accuracy.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for liaising with staff, parents, and suppliers.
- Professionalism: The ability to work independently, manage a busy workload, and maintain confidentiality.
