One of our local schools dedicated to providing an excellent education for our students is looking for an Office Administrator with previous experience working in a school environment who can start immediately.
You will be a crucial member of our team, providing essential administrative and front-of-house support. This role requires excellent communication skills, a friendly and professional demeanour, and the ability to multitask in a busy school office.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Front-of-House: Act as the first point of contact for visitors, parents, and students, providing a welcoming and professional reception service.
- Administrative Support: Manage school correspondence, including emails and phone calls, and assist with data entry and record-keeping.
- Student and Staff Records: Maintain and update student and staff information accurately and confidentially, including attendance records.
- Financial Administration: Assist with school financial procedures, such as processing invoices and managing petty cash.
- Safeguarding: Ensure all visitors and contractors follow the school's safeguarding procedures, including signing in and out.
- General Office Duties: Handle a range of general administrative tasks, including photocopying, filing, and managing stationery supplies.
- Communication: Disseminate information to staff, parents, and students as required, using various communication channels.

Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Office Administrator or similar role within a school setting.
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise a varied workload.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient and professional manner.
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- A proactive and flexible approach to work.
- Knowledge of school administrative software (e.g., SIMS, Arbor) is highly desirable.
