About the Role:
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Science Teachers to join our vibrant and supportive team at our prominent secondary schools in Liverpool. The successful candidate will be passionate about their subject and committed to delivering high-quality lessons that inspire students and foster a love of science.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons across the KS3 and KS4 Science curriculum (and KS5 if applicable).
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing effective feedback to support improvement.
- Contribute to the development of the science department and wider school life.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment.
- Participate in departmental meetings, parents evenings, and CPD opportunities.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.
- Degree in a science-related subject (Biology, Chemistry, Physics or combined science).
- Experience teaching secondary school students (including during teacher training).
- Excellent classroom management skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
Desirable:
- Ability to teach a science specialism at KS5.
- Experience working in diverse school settings.
- Knowledge of current curriculum developments and teaching strategies.
