We are seeking a flexible Science Specialist to join a thriving secondary school community in Plymouth for day-to-day subject and general supply cover. This is your chance to focus on what you love most-teaching-without the administrative weight of a permanent classroom role.
What the Role Offers- Zero Planning & Preparation: Walk in at 08:30, deliver the provided cover work, and leave at 15:30 with your evening completely free.
- Full Flexibility: Choose which days you work each week-ideal for balancing family commitments, hobbies, or freelance work.
- Varied Workday: Deliver engaging Science cover in your specialist area alongside general supply coverage across other secondary subjects.

- Deliver pre-planned Science and general subject lessons effectively.
- Maintain a positive, productive learning environment in line with school behaviour policies.
- Support student progress and manage classroom dynamics during teacher absences.
- Leave detailed handover notes for returning class teachers.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Strong background in Secondary Science (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics).
- Adaptable, engaging classroom approach and solid behaviour management skills.
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).

- Hours: 08:30 - 15:30 (Monday to Friday)
