The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and organised Science Technician to join our vibrant Science Department. You will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of a high-quality science curriculum by providing technical support to teaching staff and students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
From preparing chemicals and equipment to ensuring a safe laboratory environment, your work will be at the heart of our students' practical learning experience.
Key Responsibilities
Practical Support: Prepare, set up, and dismantle apparatus and resources for classroom demonstrations and student practical work.
Health & Safety: Maintain a safe working environment in line with CLEAPSS and COSHH regulations. Dispose of hazardous materials safely and perform routine safety checks on equipment.
Stock Management: Monitor and manage stock levels of chemicals and equipment; assist in ordering new supplies and maintaining an accurate inventory.
Maintenance: Carry out minor repairs and routine maintenance of laboratory equipment to ensure everything is in good working order.
Requirements
- Degree in a Science-based subject
- Enhanced Child DBS check
- EWC registration
