About the Role:
- Provide strong leadership and supervision to a team of social workers, ensuring high-quality service delivery and adherence to best practice.
- Oversee the efficient and effective operation of the screening and assessment process, ensuring timely interventions and appropriate resource allocation.
- Implement and monitor performance standards, promoting continuous improvement and positive outcomes for children and families.
- Manage budgets and resources effectively, ensuring the team operates within allocated parameters.
- Represent the team in meetings with internal and external stakeholders, advocating for the needs of children and families.
- Contribute to the development of team policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and guidelines.
- Provide regular supervision and support to team members, promoting their professional development and well-being.
Requirements:
- Registered with Social Care England.
- Minimum 3 years' post-qualification experience as a qualified Social Worker. Significant experience in a supervisory or management role within children's social care is essential.
- Proven leadership and management skills, with experience of leading and motivating a team.
- Strong understanding of children's social care legislation, policies, and procedures.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills.
- Commitment to ensuring high-quality services and safeguarding children.
