We are urgently hiring Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools across the entire Sefton borough. From the coast of Southport down to the heart of Bootle, we have immediate openings that fit your schedule.
Daily Rate: £90.00 - £95.00 per day (Negotiable based on experience).

... - South Sefton: Bootle, Litherland, Seaforth, and Netherton (L20, L21, L30).
- Central Sefton: Crosby, Waterloo, Thornton, and Blundellsands (L22, L23, L38).
- Maghull & Melling: Supporting local schools in the L31 area.
- North Sefton: Formby, Ainsdale, Birkdale, and Southport (L37, PR8, PR9).
Duties:
- Supervise students while they complete work left by their regular teacher.
- Encourage a positive learning atmosphere by managing classroom behaviour effectively.
- Assist pupils with their tasks and answer general questions about the work.
- Walk around the room regularly to keep students engaged and minimise distractions.
- Enforce school policies regarding uniform and the use of mobile phones.
- Collect all student work and resources at the end of each period.
- Ensure the classroom is left tidy and organised for the next group.
- Report back on student progress and behaviour by leaving a brief note for the teacher.
- Follow all school safeguarding and health and safety procedures at all times.
Skills Needed:
- Strong communication skills and a confident presence when speaking to groups.
- Ability to remain calm and professional while managing a classroom.
- High level of organisation and the ability to follow lesson plans accurately.
- A positive, patient approach when working with young people from various backgrounds.
- Must hold (or be willing to apply for) an Enhanced DBS certificate.
