We are looking for a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to work within a specialist setting in Manchester. You will be supporting students across KS2, KS3, and KS4 who have Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs, as well as additional learning difficulties.
Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to re-engage students with their learning.
- Implement bespoke behavior management plans to de-escalate challenging situations.
- Support the delivery of core subjects while adapting tasks to meet specific SEN requirements.
- Act as a positive role model and mentor, building strong, trusting relationships with pupils.
Requirements
- Proven experience supporting children with SEMH or SEN is essential.
- Ability to work full-time (8:30 AM - 3:30 PM, Mon-Fri).
- An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
