Location: Clacton on Sea, Essex

Contract: Full-Time, Fixed Term

Pay Rate: £90-100 per day

About the School

Located in the heart of Clacton on Sea, our school is a specialist hub for students aged 5-16 who struggle with emotional regulation and mental health challenges. We are a Trauma-Informed school, meaning we prioritise felt-safety and building relationships over rigid punishment. We believe that every child deserves a fresh start, every single morning.

Responsibilities include

Helping students identify their "triggers" and find ways to calm down before they reach a breaking point.
Being the link between the teacher's lesson and the student's reality.
Using your training (like Team Teach or Step On) to keep the environment safe and positive.
Tracking small social victories that lead to big life changes.

Required Qualities

Experience working with youth, mental health, or challenging behaviour (even if it wasn't in a school).
The ability to bounce back after a tough afternoon and show up with a smile the next day.
A desire to help the young people of Clacton on Sea find their way back to learning.
Eligibility to work in the UK
Enhanced child DBS on the update service or willingness to apply
